Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
? Design and execute educational programs that support children?s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in alignment with Vermont Early Learning Standards.
? Collaborate with fellow educators to create a well-organized and engaging classroom environment.
? Maintain open communication with families to keep them informed about their child?s progress and development.
? Adhere to center policies and state regulations to ensure a safe and healthy classroom atmosphere.
? Keep meticulous records of observations, curriculum planning, and assessments to meet all required deadlines.
? Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and uphold the center?s quality improvement standards.
Required Skills

? Strong understanding of child development principles.

? Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification.
? Completion of Mandated Reporter Training.
Qualifications
? Compliance with Vermont State Regulations for a Teacher Associate.
? Minimum age of 20 years.
? High school diploma or GED.
? Successful background check and fingerprinting clearance.
? Completion of Vermont Orientation Training.
Education And Experience
Candidates should possess one of the following:
? A Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Three (3) Certificate.
? An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or related fields, along with a minimum of 12 months of experience working with preschool-aged children.
? A Certificate of Completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program.
? A Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont, with at least 12 months of experience.
? Completion of 21 college credits focused on early childhood education and at least 12 months of experience working with children.
