YouTube Video Scriptwriter - Test Prep (Contract)

Study.com is looking for Scriptwriters to create short scripts for YouTube test prep videos. Our ideal Scriptwriter is familiar with writing scripts that sound natural, provide accurate information, and includes video editing notes for call-outs and other video elements.

This is an online, remote contract role. We are launching multiple YouTube Test Prep channels, so come help us make an impact for aspiring teachers and students of all kinds who are preparing to take exams.

Project Description

As a scriptwriter, you will produce engaging and informative scripts for videos that help aspiring teachers prepare for the Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE). You will be responsible for planning and scripting videos that align with our educational objectives and SEO best practices.

Project Work
? Independently select video topics from a curated list of topics associated with FTCE exams.
? Follow detailed guidance on video... structure, content, and style to ensure clarity and accuracy.
? Research FTCE test competencies and blueprint to produce sample questions as part of the test prep videos.
? Write engaging, informative, concise scripts that align with the corresponding FTCE exam content.
? Revise and update content based on feedback from our review team.
? Write, visualize, and structure the video content, ensuring voiceover and visuals work together cohesively in finished scripts.
Required Skills & Experience
? Ability to gather information on various topics and incorporate it into scripts.
? Excellent communication skills and are collaborative and responsive.
? Strong online research & English language skills.
? Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
? Familiar with table formatting to organize voiceover scripts with corresponding visual elements.
Preferred Skills
? Familiarity with best practices for YouTube video scripts.
? Experience writing for different video formats, including educational content, tutorials, explainer videos, and more.
? Experience with Smartsheet as a collaborator
