Develop and implement strategies to effectively represent 3M's interests to the federal government.
Monitor and analyze federal legislation, regulations, and policies that may impact 3M and its products.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the federal government.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between 3M's business goals and federal affairs objectives.
Provide guidance and support to 3M executives on navigating the federal government and communicating with government officials.
Represent 3M at industry events, conferences, and meetings with government officials.
Create and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and briefings on federal affairs issues to inform and persuade key stakeholders.
Develop and manage the federal affairs budget and resources.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in federal affairs and proactively seek opportunities to enhance 3M's federal advocacy efforts.
Serve as a subject matter expert on federal affairs issues and provide guidance to cross-functional teams within 3M.
Lead and mentor a team of federal affairs professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Ensure compliance with all federal lobbying regulations and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with external partners, such as trade associations and coalitions, to advance 3M's federal affairs agenda.
Represent 3M's values and commitment to ethical practices in all interactions with government officials and external stakeholders.
Continuously evaluate and adapt strategies to effectively navigate the ever-changing federal landscape and achieve desired outcomes for 3M.
