A Day in the Life This position is part of Operations Innovation Enterprise Engineering Molding & Capital Tooling (M&CT) organization and will provide... leadership for the development and procurement of Plastic, Metal and Silicon items for existing and new Molding Suppliers and Contract Manufacturing partners. This position will engage actively with all levels of a cross functional team, conformed by: Senior leadership. multiple Operation Units, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory amongst others, to ensure that the components, sub-assemblies, and contract manufactured items are manufactured and delivered by Suppliers with required level of quality and ensuring that all cross functional teams are aligned with strategies and results. This position will also be responsible for ensuring all Molding & Capital Tooling Strategies are connected, by facilitating workshops, and communicating progress to the Molding & Capital Tooling Leadership Team. A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Engages with all levels of the Molding & Capital Tooling organization to help plan, direct and implement all aspects of plastic injection molding projects for mold tooling replacements, refurbishments, supplier & manufacturing transfers, and new product development. Engages with all levels of Medtronic Senior Leadership to ensure communication is transparent in a timely manner. Coordinates data collection among senior leadership and technical teams to develop Strategies and clear Portfolio, Program Status Updates. Engages with subject matter experts for new injection molding projects and drives business deliverables to achieve strategic objectives. Develops and implements enterprise strategies for mold replacements and refurbishments that will drive burn down to business risks. Organizes the coordination of activities and workshops with external molding and tooling suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Facilitates workshops with cross functional teams to ensure objectives are clear and strategies are setup and aligned. Maintains mold tooling Strategy visibility, Portfolio and Program KPIs. Bachelor?s degree required 7 years? experience leading global teams with a supplier focused environment. 5 years of experience managerial experience with highly technical programs in a global environment Experience with Lean-Sigma Programs (DMAIC). Experience as a Coach and workshop Facilitator with technical teams and high leadership teams. Proficient communicator to engage in Business, Operational and Technical discussions and achieve business requirements in global environments. Nice to Have: Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following skills, experiences, and certifications. Master?s degree in Business (MBA). Project Management Certifications are a plus (PMP, SMC, CSM, DASM, PMI-ACP) Proven leadership experience organizing and directing multiple teams, delegating tasks and responsibilities Master Coach Black Belt Lean-Sigma Advanced experience in written and verbal communication skills in English/Spanish. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Proven Project Management applicable methodologies and business acumen. Experience with Injection Molding processes, including material resin selection, qualification, and commercialization of plastic molded components. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$169,600.00 - $254,400.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
