The role of the Registered Nurse is to provide compassionate and relationship-centered care to patients. They prioritize the prevention of illnesses and injuries and the promotion of health and healing. The Nurse exercises independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care. Job Description

Essential Functions:

Utilizes the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to perform the following functions:
? Compiles detailed information relevant to the health situation of the healthcare user.
? Reviewing the assessment findings to determine the diagnosis or problems at hand.
? Anticipates results for a personalized strategy tailored to the health needs of the patient.
? Formulates an action plan that outlines tactics and choices for meeting expected objectives.
? Implements the approved scheme and tracks the patient's development.
? Coordination of care ensures that the healthcare team is working collaboratively to improve care delivery.
? Health teaching and health promotion employ a range of techniques to encourage the adoption of healthy habits and the creation of a secure environment.
? As consultants, advanced practice registered nurses and nursing role specialists serve as valuable resources, offering advice and support to improve processes and overall success.
? Judges progress in attaining desired outcomes.

? Applying a structured approach to nursing practice to elevate its quality and effectiveness

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing

Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Preferred:

Experience - 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience

Education - Bachelors degree in Nursing

Physical Requirements:

The ability to work designated shift lengths, which could include 8 or 12-hour shifts, including night shifts or occasional irregular hours, is also required for this job.
