What you'll do:

? Evaluate guest concerns and, when needed, refer them to the Guest Experience Leader or the Leader on Duty.

? The health and welfare of living animals at Petco is guaranteed by providing them with appropriate care such as hourly animal health checks and filling out wellness cards, in compliance with established standards, guidelines, and procedures.
? Maintains an effective and professional communication style in all forms of interaction with professional contacts, with an emphasis on advancing the agenda of the company.
? Delivers quick and courteous support to Petco clientele, identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products, incorporating persuasive sales techniques to increase revenue.
? This position necessitates a person who is well-versed in the area of nutrition, has sound expertise in Pals Rewards registration, comprehends the Welcome to the Family program, and can employ persuasive sales techniques to drive profits.
? Secures an outstanding customer experience for all Omni-channel endeavors, which includes Instacart, Extended Aisle, and Repeat Delivery.
? Carries out various point-of-sale responsibilities such as handling cash, credit and check payments, and managing customer returns.
? Aids in the upkeep of the merchandising presentation by restocking and facing products as needed.
? Handles cash register transactions and offers guest carry-out services for items weighing up to and including 50 pounds per trip.
? Abides by the loss prevention regulations implemented by the workplace.
? Aids in merchandise replenishment by following approved techniques, with the aim of maintaining a well-stocked store and precise record of inventory.
? Ensures that the animals, birds, reptiles, and fish in the store are treated with the highest level of care, and they live in a clean and safe environment. Also, takes all essential steps to maintain their health and good shape.
? In case of any animal, reptile, bird or fish that needs medical attention or special care, store leaders are immediately notified.
? Maintains the store's impeccable image by fulfilling regular housekeeping tasks like sweeping and mopping the floors, dusting, washing windows, organizing merchandise on shelves, and maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms.
? Assists store managers in fulfilling paperwork requirements correctly and accurately while opening or closing the store.
? Contributes to the process of conducting physical inventory count on a quarterly and annual basis.
? Maintains a focus on adhering to established safety protocols and incentivizes safe practices among store partners, patrons, and pets.
? Executes specific projects as directed.

Work Environment:

While the majority of your duties will take place indoors, there may be times where you will need to venture outside the store.
