Your Role: As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to empower students with diverse learning needs, making a difference in their lives from the comfort of your own home. Through personalized instruction and tailored interventions, you'll help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Whether you're providing direct instruction, collaborating with school teams, or designing individualized education plans, your dedication and expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of education.

Responsibilities: ? Provide virtual instruction and support to students with special needs, including but not limited to developmental disabilities, learning disorders, and behavioral challenges. ? Collaborate with school-based teams to assess students' needs, develop appropriate goals, and monitor progress. ? Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges. ? Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technology tools to engage students and enhance learning outcomes. ? Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and services provided.

Requirements: ? Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's degree preferred) ? Valid Special Education teaching license/certification in Maine. ? Prior experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting. ? Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students. ? Proficiency in utilizing technology for virtual instruction (e.g., video conferencing platforms, educational software).
