Job Title: Lodge Operations Manager

Location: Enchanting remote island in Southeast Alaska

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lodge Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the daily functions of our exquisite lodge, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. This pivotal role involves managing staff, maintaining the lodge?s pristine environment, addressing guest inquiries, and resolving any challenges that may arise. You will uphold exemplary hospitality standards, manage operational budgets, and assess staff performance.

Key Responsibilities
? Ensure the safe transport of crew members to and from the lodge daily.
? Collaborate with the Port Captain to troubleshoot issues and facilitate repairs.
? Oversee the food and beverage team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
? Conduct regular meetings with staff to address logistical concerns and resolve challenges.
? Supervise routine maintenance of lodge and vessel equipment, including oil and coolant levels, batteries, and fuel filters.
? Maintain safety protocols for both the lodge and crew members.
? Ensure adherence to PPE and fire prevention measures.
? Direct daily maintenance tasks, including cleanliness, water management, and restocking supplies.
? Coordinate maintenance on generators and pumps, and oversee necessary repairs and upkeep.
? Lead crew in safety orientations and emergency response drills, in compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
? Maintain navigational and electrical equipment, ensuring operational readiness and maintaining logs as required.
? Coordinate with the Lodge Manager on scheduling and operational matters.
? Assist lodge staff with maintaining outdoor areas, including fire pits and general upkeep.
? Foster effective communication with guests, team members, and management.

Required Skills
? Minimum 25-ton license.
? FCC Marine Radio Operators Permit (MROP).
? Strong problem-solving abilities to independently address issues and enhance guest experiences.
? Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
? Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with guests and colleagues.

Qualifications
? Proven experience in lodge or hospitality management is preferred.
? Background in maritime operations is advantageous.
? Must successfully pass a security background check and DOT drug test.
? Drug-free status required, including pre-employment screening.
