Job Title: Part-Time Hybrid Archivist

We are looking for a meticulous and organized Archivist to manage and oversee a diverse collection that includes artifacts, antiques, digital assets, and various art pieces. This part-time hybrid role involves the cataloging, preservation, and curation of items to uphold the integrity of both digital and physical collections. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in archival management, a sharp attention to detail, and proficiency with digital archiving systems, ensuring our collections are preserved with excellence and remain easily accessible for future generations.

Key Responsibilities
? Catalog, organize, and maintain both physical and digital collections, including artifacts, antiques, art pieces, and digital media with precision and care.
? Implement preservation techniques to safeguard the quality and longevity of items, maintaining the integrity of sensitive materials.
? Utilize digital archiving systems for the cataloging, storing, and management of digital assets, ensuring all files are secure, accessible, and adequately tagged for efficient retrieval.
? Develop and uphold accurate records and metadata for each item within the collection to facilitate ease of access and research.
? Occasionally perform on-site assessments to evaluate the condition and storage of physical collections, updating inventory accordingly and ensuring items are securely housed.
? Adhere to legal, regulatory, and archival standards and practices.
? Support research efforts by providing organized access to the collection and curating items for exhibitions or presentations as needed.

Qualifications
? A Bachelor's degree in Archival Studies, Library Science, History, or a related field.
? A minimum of 2 years experience in archival or collections management, preferably with a focus on antiques, art, or digital assets.
? Proficiency in utilizing digital archiving software and tools, along with strong computer and data management skills.
? Exceptional organizational abilities, paired with a keen attention to detail.
? Familiarity with best practices in preservation, conservation, and metadata standards.
? Capability to work independently while managing time effectively, along with strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
? Certification in Archival Studies or Records Management (such as the Certified Archivist designation).
? Experience in a hybrid (remote/on-site) work environment.
