Our pharmaceutical analytics services team is growing, and we are looking for data analysts to partner across the institution to support our medication use processes through access to timely, accurate and insightful information to drive informed decision-making. This job is for you if? You are passionate about partnering with people to develop highly effective and impactful information and analytics solutions ? including, but not limited to, reporting, visualizations, dashboards, and analytics self-sufficiency capabilities. In this role, you will capitalize on your technical expertise and clinical knowledge to empower your customers with analytics solutions tailored to their needs. As a Data Analyst within pharmaceutical services, you are a vital partner between our clinical customers and central analytics team. You will be an integral member of the pharmaceutical analytics services team, facilitating the connection between the organization and the data necessary to realize our mission and strategic objectives within the pharmacy domain. Your responsibilities will include analyzing data from diverse healthcare domains, including clinical, financial, operational, and regulatory. We generate insights from a broad spectrum of healthcare data sources, such as Epic, Omnicell, wholesaler platforms, and other third-party pharmacy applications. This position requires strong design capabilities and solution building skills that not only gives the customer what they need but makes it easy for them to analyze data. This position may be eligible for the possibility of remote work. Job Responsibilities: ? Analyzes pharmacy data and recommends changes in pharmacy procedures and workflows to achieve improved levels of service and patient outcomes. ? Collaborates and advises stakeholders on data collection, data management, data analysis and reporting, and decision management tool design and development alongside other department resources. ? Assist with processes/activities within pharmacy analytics with limited guidance (e.g., business requirement analysis; technical design; dashboard development, testing, maintenance, and refresh). ? Supports pharmaceutical analytics education by cross-training of staff on internal and external data systems and supporting workflows. ? Design and develop structured and unstructured databases and/or data-loading processes to optimize information use. ? Document data model, database, ETL, data mapping, and data integration including documentation of business processes and data storage. ? Write testable ETL processes and/or code, using industry best practices and Continuous Integration-Continuous Delivery (CICD) / DevOps processes. ? Implement data quality and departmental standards in line with organizational expectations. ? Prepare and submit reports on data validation and loading to communicate data load progress to stakeholders and management. ? Supports and recommends improvements to databases and/or ETL operational processes including automation, monitoring, and job scheduling. ? Perform database, SQL, and/or ETL performance tuning. ? Assist with processes/activities within the area with limited guidance (e.g., business requirement analysis; technical design; dashboard development, testing, maintenance, and refresh). ? Maintains regular and predictable attendance. ? Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the goals of the department and institution. Minimum Education and/or Training: ? Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information science, business, or related field required. Minimum Experience: ? 2+ years of IT experience in the design of reports, databases, and ETL processes, preferably in a comparable industry. ? Experience with data modeling, reporting, and metrics creation within electronic health records (Epic) is preferred ? Experience with MS SQL is preferred. ? Experience with pharmacy-specific software (e.g. Epic Willow, Omnicell) is preferred. ? Epic Caboodle and Cogito certifications is preferred. ? Experience in programming querying languages. ? Some experience with enterprise reporting tools for the development of reports as applicable. ? Some experience creating dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, and data warehousing applications) as applicable. ? Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role. Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
