Key Responsibilities
? Deliver in-person care to patients with implanted cardiac devices (CIEDs), including interrogation, evaluation, and programming for various manufacturers like Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Biotronik.
? Identify and address CIED abnormalities, facilitating follow-up care as necessary.
? Educate patients and their families on post-implant care, device functions, remote monitoring, and essential follow-up procedures.
? Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure coordination of care and timely service for CIED patients.
? Act as a knowledgeable resource for device and arrhythmia management for staff members across various departments.
? Complete comprehensive documentation for CIED assessments, arrhythmia management, and billing purposes under the oversight of the attending physician.
? Monitor and review CIED remote transmissions and trans-telephonic alerts, adhering to manufacturer advisories and guidelines.
? Participate in continuing education and provide cross-coverage within the CIED department for satellite facilities.

Required Skills
? Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New Mexico.
? BLS and ACLS certifications.
? A strong foundation in cardiology is highly valued.
? Familiarity with CIED management or completion of a recognized CIED program (e.g., ATI or PrepMD).
? Preferred: International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification and LS Certification at time of hire.

Qualifications
? An Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
? 1-2 years of experience in critical care, interventional cardiology/electrophysiology lab, or cardiac step-down unit is essential, with 2 years preferred.
? A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
