Job Description:

This job role requires the preparation, cutting, display, and sale of meat products while maintaining a favorable company image. Team Members in Whole Foods Market Retail positions must be friendly, courteous, and efficient in providing excellent customer service and must adhere to Standard Operating Procedures. They must demonstrate the ability to perform duties associated with other job descriptions. Job Responsibilities: ? The meats are prepared by the butcher, with each cut of beef, pork, lamb, veal, or poultry being carefully arranged on platters. ? Establishes distinctive meat products like cured meats, sausages, and pre-made items. ? Assessing for adherence to quality specifications, the product undergoes quality control checks. ? Maintains sampling program. ? Keeps track of and takes steps to prevent spoilage. ? Bridges gaps in knowledge and skills of the Meat Cutter Trainee(s) assigned to them. ? Presents on schedule at work station, attired appropriately and well-groomed, all set for work challenges. Complies with fixed work schedules, along with mandatory training and meeting commitments. ? Displaying exemplary customer service requires responding to customer needs effectively while demonstrating up-selling techniques. Answering phone calls and pages with respect is also a key aspect. ? Advances sales possibilities by employing efficacious and precise methods to prepare, keep, swap, provide, and showcase items. ? Undertakes tasks whilst ensuring that Weights and Measures, sanitation and hygiene norms, and secure working standards are observed as per established procedures. ? Guarantees that both the work and shopping areas are clean and sanitary; adheres to WFM safety and cleanliness protocols for equipment upkeep. ? Takes on the assigned opening, mid, and closing duties, ensuring that pricing and signage are accurate. ? Any safety concerns or violations should be reported promptly. ? Carries out other duties assigned by store, regional, or national management.

Job Skills:
? A deep understanding of the meat team processes and procedures is necessary for effective record-keeping, such as labeling, tracking, and storing products in the proper conditions.
? Equipped with impressive cutting skills, able to segment goods into sub-primal and retail portions.
? Comprehensive understanding of the different techniques for preparing meat and seafood, in addition to knowledge about the various cuts.
? Skill to visually investigate articles for excellence and freshness.
? Adept at extracting insights on market conditions and adeptly passing on this information to clients.
? Robust communication skills accompanied by a team-focused mindset.

Experience:
? A seasoned retail worker with more than 14 months of experience.

? Whether it is pulling a lever or pushing a heavy object, individuals use their hands to accomplish many physical tasks.
? Bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching are essential physical activities associated with carrying out work duties effectively.
? Exposure to FDA-endorsed cleaning agents and their potential consequences on the body.
? The thermometer shows a temperature of 90 degrees Fahrenheit, indicating that the air temperature is quite warm.
? Efficiency in executing tasks in a damp and frigid environment.
? Adroit at using knives and other cutting tools proficiently.
? Capability to work on flexible schedules that may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays as and when needed.
? Adept at handling and utilizing a variety of tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
