  • What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Implement and coordinate fleet maintenance programs, policies, and procedures
  • Promote, inspect, coach, and train local branches on repair and maintenance processes
  • Manage fleet repair and maintenance program and provider relationships
  • Drive compliance with company and DOT safety policies and procedures
  • Manage total cost of ownership of fleet assets and material handling equipment
  • Communicate with internal departments, warehouse workers, drivers, leaders, and vendors
  • Manage vehicle inspection process and DOT compliance documentation
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to improve asset utilization and fleet optimization
  • Identify future savings opportunities using data sources
  • Partner with branches and operations team to develop equipment specifications
  • Review roadside inspection violations and assist with root cause identification
  • Provide information and updates on fleet transfers, replacements, and acquisitions
  • Support field operations to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Assist in annual maintenance budget requirements
  • Manage commercial motor vehicle fuel program and auditing fuel purchases
  • Maintain physical inventory of fleet assets
  • Provide training and awareness of telematics and safe fleet operation
  • What is Required (Qualifications):
  • 5+ years of experience with commercial motor vehicle operations
  • Ability to build trust and confidence with management and supervision
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised
  • Extensive experience and judgment in goal planning and accomplishment
  • Ability to multi-task in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to travel approximately 75%
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees
