Job Description As a staff member in Missouri Online at the University of Missouri, this position works with the instructional design and experience design teams creating learning materials and instructional media for online courses. In fulfilling these responsibilities, this role has a particular emphasis on web and graphic design for learning management systems, while also utilizing other general design and development skills for the production of online materials. The Experience Designer will also be required to attend the annual on-site Missouri Online All Staff Retreat and other on-site events as business needs dictate. Travel for this position is expected to be minimal. Creates learning materials in a variety of formats for delivery online, including web, graphic, interactive, video, audio, and animated formats, depending on the need ? Produces web pages, websites, and other web-based materials to be used in online courses ? Incorporates third-party web-based tools/products into course materials as necessary ? Ensures accessibility and usability of all course materials produced ? Provides suggestions and ideas for improvement in course materials ? Tests and/or develops instructional technology solutions ? Collaborates closely with team members to clarify needs/concerns/issues in projects ? Creates products and materials for use within centrally supported or third-party technology systems (including learning management systems), or independent of such systems ? Keeps abreast of emerging trends and standards in web design and development ? Performs other duties as assigned Shift Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM. CST Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Articulate Experienced working with Learning Management Systems Proficient in project management 1-3 years of experience in higher education 1-3 years of learning experience design in higher education Expertise in HTML and CSS coding Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range: $53,000 - $59,000 per year Grade: GGS-9E University Title: Strategic Communications Consultant Internal applicants can determine their University title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
