Cloud Security Engineer

The Cloud Security team is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to work on securing DoorDash?s data and... infrastructure within its cloud computing environment by building detection, alerting and remediation strategies and toolsets using automation and programming. You will be a part of our inclusive, collaborative team responsible for building a safe and reliable delivery network. On the Security team we need to protect all of our customers, as well as the logistics engine itself. It?s no simple task, but it wouldn?t be interesting if it was!
What You?ll Do
? Utilize AWS Cloud and its security services and best practices to secure DoorDash?s cloud infrastructure.
? Comfortable writing scripts using any programming language for automating tasks. We recommend usage of python, GO or javascript.
? Develop and implement robust detection mechanisms within cloud environments using Rego to identify potential security incidents, misconfigurations, and data leaks.
? Comfortable with terraform to generate secure-by-default modules, conduct code reviews, to provide recommendations for improved security.
? Experience with securing applications within container environments such as ECS, EKS, Fargate.
? Participate in on-call triage rotation and promptly respond to security events if any.
? Collaborate directly with engineering and security leaders to implement security strategy for DoorDash?s cloud infrastructure and applications.
? Enhance IAM monitoring to enforce least-privilege access is granted to employees and applications that run within the cloud.
? Assess and present infrastructure security risk solutions and tradeoffs to DoorDash leadership that enables risk-based decision making.
? Define, document and implement security standards, guidelines and procedures for secure operations in a cloud infrastructure environment.
? As part of architectural and design review committees, provide actionable feedback in engineering design reviews
What We?re Looking For
? 4+ years of experience as an cloud security engineer, security engineer, infrastructure engineer in an information security discipline.
? Able to demonstrate a track record of driving improvements to a company?s security posture.
? Breadth of technical experience across various infrastructure and security areas running in large production environments.
? Expertise with cloud infrastructure and management in AWS.
? Experience solving complex, systemic issues that require creative thinking and solutions.
? Exceptional analytical and investigative abilities with hands-on AWS and programming experience leading root cause analysis.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills - you can understand and review security design with respect to cloud infrastructure to security and engineering personnel.
? Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines to automate security testing.

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
