Closely collaborate with relevant value stream owners, IT partners, global finance back offices and finance operational teams within FedEx Logistics Freight Forwarding and Brokerage to create and deliver finance-related digital products, processes, and services. The role will actively engage in the design and implementation of solutions for financial products by collaborating with the Business and IT and applying architectural principles to define and translate Value Stream goals and needs into actionable roadmaps. Define, design, develop, integrate, implement, and thereafter continuously improve relevant finance products, controls, and services by supporting the usage, acceptance and development in capabilities which drive finance operational efficiencies and customer growth/retention. This position is the bridge between the development teams, the day-to-day business and the strategic transformation team and is empowered to help drive performance and clarity to aid in the execution on the priorities through structured development planning increments. The role is also responsible to provide relevant business content and support the planning, management, reporting and coordination of the digital transformation roadmap. As Finance Value Stream Architect, act as an ambassador and change agent for digital transformation and global standardization. The role will take on a leadership function within projects, taking accountability for ensuring a solution is delivered on time and within budget constraints as well as providing SME representation to other key stakeholders within the project. This role will combine working knowledge of functional specific business strategy and technical solution impact knowledge to deconstruct complex concepts and sequencing them in to smaller, simplified components. The role will provide mentorship and guidance to product owners within the team, ensuring adherence to standard global product capabilities and roadmap, standard SAFe Agile practices inclusive of configurable solutions, providing subject matter expertise where required and driving performance within the team. The role will have a high level of industry Freight Forwarding experience and systems and finance knowledge. This knowledge is used to effectively bridge the gap between the technology and finance-owned layers of the business and act as a conduit of information into the technology and development teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
? The Value Stream Business Architect - Financial Systems is responsible for the design and delivery of the digital products and services transformation related to financial applications across FedEx Trade Networks Air and Ocean forwarding and brokerage, leading to increase in efficiencies and strengthening of financial controls. Leads the business requirement definition and functional design of digital services and products reflecting customer requirements and business needs.
? Assists in capturing and translating requirements and ensures they meet the needs of the core global finance teams. Assures those requirements are developed on time to ensure the successful on-time delivery of the value stream roadmap.
? Overall leadership in supporting functional delivery of global solution implementations of the core financial services and products.
? Assists with data-mapping, designing systems landscapes and informational processes for all financial systems and reporting needs.
? Establish and manage the financial services and products capabilities roadmap and drive development, innovation, and enablement of the product suite.
? Ensures all financial systems are compliant as it relates to regulatory, SOX, and GAAP accounting principles.
? Assists in defining and writing test scripts related to financial activities done within the various systems with a focus on ensuring the integrity and quality of financial data.
? Ensure alignment with other opco's and enterprise financial products and services.

Qualifications

Required
? Bachelors in finance, Business Administration, Information Technology or an equivalent education.
? Minimum 3 years forwarding, carrier, or similar experience.
? Minimum 3 years finance product development experience in logistics / freight forwarding.
? Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
? Travel as required (up to 25%).

Preferred
? Master's degree in finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or an equivalent education.
? Experience with CargoWise as the core freight and brokerage systems.
? Experience with financial system development, financial reporting, and finance regulatory compliance in the freight forwarding space inclusive of brokerage, ideally defining required capabilities, and working with IT for delivery.
? Experience designing system landscapes and information processes for international finance capabilities.
? Deep understanding of finance, accounting, GAAP, etc.
? Proven experience in designing and delivering digital products and services using both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies and SDLC processes.
? Experience with mapping financial data and experience writing SQL.
? Ability to manage priorities in product development and process optimization.
