Job TitleStudent Account Specialist Agency Texas A&M University - Central Texas Department Business Affairs Proposed Minimum Salary$15.00 hourly Job LocationKilleen, Texas Job TypeStaff Job Description The Student Account Specialist, under supervision, provides a variety of support tasks for the University?s student account services including assisting with processing receivables and loans... assisting with collection and reconciliation, performing record keeping and correspondence, and providing front-line cashiering and customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform cashiering duties including receiving funds, writing receipts, balancing cash drawer and other related duties. Respond to customer inquiries and requests, Issue staff, student and faculty permits. Provides customer service for Business Services Office to students, parents, and employees. Assist with third party student receivables. Coordinates with Campus Veterans Center personnel to provide information required for certification of Post 911 GI Bill contract payments. Verify financial aid disbursement, work closely with financial aid office regarding disbursements, refunds, short-term loans, book vouchers, etc. Assist with collection and reconciliation. Assists with maintenance of Bursar holds on student records system and paper records. Reviews and processes requests for Breakage Deposit refunds. Assists with processing and entry of short term loans. Education and Experience Associate degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of related experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
