Key... Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Posting journal entries accurately and efficiently.

Managing daily cash transactions to ensure proper recording and reconciliation.

Overseeing prepaids and accruals to maintain up-to-date financial data.

Conducting monthly bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of cash balances.

Reconciling balance sheet accounts and addressing any discrepancies promptly.

Researching and resolving financial discrepancies to ensure data integrity.

Preparing comprehensive financial statements to support decision-making.

Utilizing Excel to analyze data sets and generate meaningful insights.

Running both recurring and ad hoc financial reports as needed.

Reviewing and verifying the coding of procurement card transactions.

Contributing to the continuous improvement and standardization of accounting practices, policies, and procedures.

Assisting in system implementations to enhance financial operations.

Completing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales & use tax filings.

Performing other related tasks as required to support the finance team.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A minimum of one year of recent, relevant experience in a full-cycle accounting role.

Prior experience in industries such as property management or real estate is preferred but not mandatory.

Familiarity with Sage software is a plus, though not required.

Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with data analysis.

A keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of your work.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
