Sr. Director of Family Programming (National - Remote)

At JP, we believe that no mother should have to make the untenable choice between investing in herself or supporting her children. Our holistic approach invites single mothers into the leadership tent and encourages families to bring all their identities to bear in achieving their goals in pursuit of economic mobility. Founded in 1993, this year JP is supporting over 2,000 moms and kids across nine residential and non-residential campuses: Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Brooklyn, Fargo, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Rochester. POSTION SUMMARY: Reporting to the SVP of Programming, the Sr. Director of Family Programming (SDFP) is dedicated to refining and expanding the program model for prospective and current JP families with a two-generation approach, building capacity in each geography for robust local programming. They collaborate across stakeholders to identify and execute supports, continuously improving programming to provide ease for JP moms and children. In collaboration with the SVP and other Sr. Director of Family Programming, they manage curriculum development, evaluate impact, and lead professional development for staff. The SDFP partners closely with parents and staff to design a family-centered experience across all programming, policies, and planning. They also enhance the national program model, guiding decisions on program offerings and geographical coherence, conducting impact evaluation strategy, and iterating data system design for integrated delivery and professional learning. The ideal candidate is an adept leader with diverse leadership experiences, capable of providing strong coaching and lateral leadership to solve problems and connect the Campus Support Team (CST) with our unique campuses. They possess a two-generation perspective, having worked in early childhood education and with student parents, enabling them to identify gaps and enhance programming for the whole JP family. The Sr. Director of Family Programming is a motivating, knowledgeable, and approachable leader, skilled in people management, collaboration, and accountability, ensuring effective internal systems and processes. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and Develop Programming Team Member(s): ? Coach, empower, and support direct report(s) to implement a set strategy or program that meet outcomes-based goals. ? Develop goals and measure progress to goals for direct reports with the implementation of program. ? Develop and build capacity among programming staff in our geographies including but not limited to Family Service Directors, Child Development Directors, Coaches, and teachers to meet goals and implement high-quality program. ? Act as an accountability arm to ensure that programming staff in our various geographies are meeting licensing and safety standards, completing tasks/actions necessary to run program and making adequate progress to goals. ? Co-design and lead professional development for programming teams across our geographies that builds their skill and capacity to lead high-quality programming on their local campus. Program Implementation & Iteration: ? Champion two-generation program excellence; ensure programming is family-focused, meets intended outcomes and incorporates best and leading practices in the field, and is relentless about equity and integration of multi-generation strategies. ? Collaborate on and at times lead continuous improvement of core JP programming, ensuring that the execution aligns with vision, goals, and outcomes for JP Family programming. ? Create and implement programming policies, procedures, and content that improve outcomes and overall efficiencies across the organization. ? In collaboration with the programming team, build additional core curriculum components and integrate existing offerings to create a seamless JP Family experience. ? In collaboration with the programming team, design scalable, technology-driven systems that allow us to operationalize curriculum, coaching and data collection across both generations of programming.
Internal Collaboration and Communication
? Works hand in hand with the SVP and Sr. Director of Family Programming to coordinate, collaborate, and make key decisions regarding programming.
? Communicates program strategy with clarity and in alignment with our overall mission to both internal and external stakeholders.
? Collaborates with a range of individuals both within and across the national Campus Support Team and with folks in our local geographies including but not limited to Development, Marketing & Storytelling, Data, Finance, Housing, Child Development Cetner Staff, Family Services staff in a way that leaves them feeling both seen, heard, and supported.
? Infuses confidence, excitement, and motivation with their communication and collaboration with geography-based staff.
Leadership
? Serve as a thought leader and standard-bearer for the approach to engaging with moms, children, staff and other stakeholders, modeling equity and excellence in all interactions.
? Proactively advances racial equity and inclusion through decision-making, policies, and practices.
Ideal candidates possess diverse leadership experiences, strong coaching skills, a two-generation perspective, and expertise in early childhood education and student parent support. They foster collaboration, accountability, and effective internal processes to support families towards their goals.

? BA/BS; preferably in Program Evaluation, Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
? 7+ years programming experience demonstrating progression of responsibility and scope over time, with an emphasis on managing at a national, multi-site organization with high complexity.
? Lived experience and/or proximity to parenting, whether as a parent, foster parent, kinship family or other, a plus.
? At least 2 years of experience directly working with human services/social work/coaching/college access and in early childhood education.
? At least 2 years of managing 2 direct reports with strong measurable outcomes.
? Strong communication skills, both verbal and written across a range of stakeholders that is clear, concise, and compassionate.
? High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence especially across when working across lines of difference.
? Highly organized, motivated, and detailed oriented in order to manage a high volume of work with efficiency in the face of competing demands.
? Proficiency in conducting data analysis and utilizing data-driven decision making.
? Desire to work in a collaborative environment and provide a high level of customer service.
? Proven ability to problem-solve, multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines with a discerning eye for detail.
? Passion for the Jeremiah Program mission and values.
? Willingness to travel to our geographies between every 4-6 weeks.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $135,000 to $157,000 and are commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. Additionally, we offer medical, dental, vision, and supplemental benefits as well as retirement plans and a generous vacation package.
