We are looking for an experienced Software Developer looking to join our diverse development team and help us take things to the next level. If this is you, keep reading!
You will be writing code and designs that provide next level functionality to build and implement a new Azure Cloud based Customer Data Platform solution. You will be partnering with Microsoft to implement the latest customer technologies and security patterns. You will also implement activities that influence game changing components and processes that change the direction of the technology future of the organization. The work is important and complicated and will require the challenge of developing a comprehensive understanding of the Walgreens customer data, coding languages, tools and regularly require independent judgement.
Job Responsibilities
? Actively involved in the daily operational activities that generally influence important components / processes of the on-line technology function, including but not limited to writing code and scripts that provide desired functionality to the web-based software, typically for large, complex or leading edge sites, products and programs and developing software applications and tools.
? Maintains and supports existing, and develops web-based applications and tools.
? Contributes to software design.
? Evaluates compatibility of programs with existing communications hardware and software.
? Develops web-based prototypes and protocols to support established standards.
? Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.
? Coordinates cross-functionally to accomplish assigned tasks.
? Gathers and updates necessary information and communicates to appropriate parties.
? May assist in incident resolution that may include on-call rotation.
? May mentor less experienced members of the team.

Internal Basic Qualifications :
? Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience application development and maintenance OR High school / GED and at least 4 years of application development experience
? At least 2 years of experience developing and writing requirement specifications.
? At least 2 years of experience with software programming languages, coding standards.
? Experience working with standard test tools and the testing processes.
? Knowledge of technical design process and models.
? Experience with SDLC / SW development processed, such as RUP, Agile, and/or Waterfall
? Experience using analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions.
? Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
? Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
External Basic Qualifications :
? Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience application development and maintenance OR High school / GED and at least 4 years of application development experience
? At least 2 years of experience developing and writing requirement specifications.

Preferred Qualifications :
? Bachelor's degree in IT, IS, Mathematics or related field.
? Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of experience application development and maintenance OR High school / GED and at least 7 years of application development experience
? Demonstrated expertise writing professional, quality, secure, performance capable code.
? Experience with software development practices.

An employee in this position can expect a salary rate between $100,000 and $125,000 plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan, if applicable will depend on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
