The Cardiac Ablations Solutions Unit develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes. CAS is an Operating Unit (OU) housed within the larger Cardiovascular (CV) Portfolio. There are eight OUs within CV: Cardiac Ablation Soutions, Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), Cardiac Surgery (CS), Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Services (CDS), Coronary and Renal Denervation (CRDN), Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS), Structural Heart and Aortic (SH&A), and Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH). In addition to the CV portfolio, Medtronic also has businesses in Diabetes, Neuroscience and Medical Surgical. This position is in Mounds View, MN within the Cardiac Ablations Solutions Operating Unit and requires on-site presence four days a week. A Day in the Life: This role requires someone who is passionate about technology, committed to quality, and has a strong understanding of Dev Ops principles. In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Software DevOps Engineer II role. This includes, but is not limited to the following: Develop and maintain DevOps infrastructure and processes to support continuous integration and delivery of software products in non-production and production environments. Ownership of tool chains used in software development such as JIRA, TFS, Gitlab, Docker, JFrog Artifactory, Bamboo, and Bitbucket Experience maintaining and deploying development tooling in AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Fargate, and S3. Investigate, propose, and implement new technologies, tools, or processes which improve the reliability and efficiency of software development, build, and testing. Create, maintain, and update formal documentation for build environments and other tools according to 62304 and FDA requirements for repeatability and validation. Provide scripting and/or code development as needed to connect and integrate systems (e.g. JIRA to Gitlab, or Bamboo to Bitbucket). Monitor and troubleshoot production and test environments to ensure optimal performance and availability. Implement and maintain automated testing and deployment processes to ensure high quality software releases. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Dev Ops and make recommendations for process improvements. Work closely with development teams to ensure proper integration of new features into existing infrastructure. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure software products meet all relevant standards and regulations. Apply DevOps practices through the SDLC for medical devices following IEC 62304/82304. Cross-function collaboration with manufacturing and production. Drive departmental excellence, proficiency, best practice, and consistency across project teams. The successful candidate will have: Experience maintaining and deploying development tooling in AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Fargate, and S3. Experience managing tool chains used in software development such as JIRA, TFS, Gitlab, Docker, JFrog Artifactory, Bamboo, and Bitbucket Experience in CI/CD of software products Experience with AWS Qualifications- MUST HAVE - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, PLEASE BE SURE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ARE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME Bachelor?s degree in computer engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of technical experience Nice to Have Agile training/experience Experience in software architecture design, writing design documents, creating flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts. Experience in the test-driven development methodology and unit test. Solid understanding of network protocols and services Proficient in languages such as Python, C++, Bash, or similar Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$101,600.00 - $152,400.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
