Position Summary: This pet passionate individual will help drive Instinct?market share and sales through their leadership of a comprehensive 6P strategy and execution for our Superstores retail environments ? Petco and PetSmart. This individual possesses strong analytical, creative and collaborative skills to lead a team, articulate 6P initiatives through Joint Business Planning processes with these key national account customers that deliver on market share growth through their brick-and-mortar and digital environments. This position will focus on driving new households, strengthening our household penetration, and championing increased ROI on commercial spending throughout the funnel. Primary Job Responsibilities: ? Lead the 6P strategy and execution for Superstores (Petco and PetSmart) ? Use syndicated data and market insights to drive toward ?category captain? leadership of the raw category and transformational alternative feeding category development with customers ? Establish and own direct, close-collaborative relationships with the Superstores? Customer Marketing Teams, understanding their assets, process and marketing capabilities to deliver shared business goals via proven, working investments and partnerships ? Research, craft, and deliver customer specific 6P Instinct Retail Marketing strategies for customer planning cycles and follow through to execution, evaluation and pivots where necessary ? Lead channel-level assortment prioritization and implementation ? Drive Net Sales customer objectives and optimization through Revenue Growth Management, partnering with Revenue Growth Manager and Business Analytics Manager to deliver on strategy and targets ? Lead Superstores customer .com optimization and digital content ? Provide the Instinct brand voice to customers, including brand strategy implementation at the customer level ? Analysis and reporting of retail media, promotional effectiveness and executional KPIs ? Manage, train and develop a strong Retail Marketing Associate for Superstores Personal Attributes: ? You?re curious ? you are someone who wants to discover and promote new ideas to help the business grow, understanding business trends in each category and/or account using fact-based analysis ? You?re adaptable ? comfortable with managing ambiguity and multiple projects simultaneously ? You love a challenge ? capacity to prioritize and manage multiple timelines in a fast-paced working environment, with a willingness to learn in the moment and a self-motivated drive for success ? Highly precise attention to detail with superior organizational and time management skills ? Exceptional collaboration, written and verbal communication skills ? Excellent numeric and analytical skills, with a proven ability to identify opportunities connecting all data points and translating them into compelling business storytelling to effectively persuade customers to action ? Ability to manage budgets and projects on time and through completion and post-project evaluation ? Creative and outside-the-box thinker, not afraid to dig in and challenge the status quo ? Digital and social media savvy Preferred Experience: ? Bachelor?s degree ? 5 years sales or marketing experience in CPG ? Proficient in leveraging Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for business analysis and storytelling ? Experience with syndicated data, such as Nielsen and/or Stackline ? Knowledge of or aptitude for learning about basic animal nutrition Travel Requirements: ? 25% travel for regular in-market retail visits and participation in key customer meetings across the US and Canada ? If based remotely, quarterly travel to Instinct home office in St. Louis, MO ?
