How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Inventory Planning & Analysis (IP&A), team is responsible for long term planning and Domestic-level strategy execution in order to maximize revenue. IP&A leverages past and forward performance data as a foundation for setting strategies and making recommendations for optimal curve management to maximize RASM and profitability. IP&A works closely with the core Inventory Management (IM) teams and analysts to transition Domestic-level actions while highlighting performance opportunities throughout the booking curve. IP&A collaborates with cross-Commercial partners, such as Pricing and Network, to ensure an optimal foundation for maximizing revenue.

The IP&A Senior Analyst will be able to analyze current supply and demand dynamics, discern customer travel behavior, collaborate cross-functionally, and use the available tools to maximize revenue. The individual must have strong relationship building skills and the ability to communicate market performance statistics to peers, all levels of leadership, and key stakeholders within the Commercial organization.

Primary Functions
? Develop coordinated Revenue Management strategies to effectively stage periods and maximize revenue.
? Conduct analysis of prior year performance, leverage industry data sources, internal financial metrics, changing network structure, and competitive insights to create strategic recommendations to core Inventory Management analysts.
? Assist on strategies outside of the core booking window while additionally monitoring and identifying close-in performance opportunities.
? Collaborate with Pricing and Network Planning to uncover and address new opportunities as well as optimize current strategies to maximize revenue, RASM, and share.

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
? High degree of initiative and drive with at least one year of analytical experience required
? Familiarity with airline economic concepts, including seat allocation, overbooking and revenue optimization
? Effective communication skills in a variety of formats, including written, visual, and verbal, with emphasis on clarity, conciseness, and storytelling
? Detail oriented and deadline focused with ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
? Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
? Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
? Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
? Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
? Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
? Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
? Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, etc.
? Revenue Management, Inventory Management or airline experience preferred
? Familiarity in software tools such as SAS, Hyperion/Brio, and other PRM tools is preferred
