The position: Apex is seeking a dynamic Lead Consultant with strong QA testing and automation skills to serve as resource within Apex Systems Consulting Services. This role will serve on project teams with Apex clients to test and deliver solutions. This role may also provide technical subject matter expertise for Apex sales and account teams during the scoping of new Quality Assurance and Testing opportunities. Responsibilities:
tWork with various Client stakeholders and project team members to propose and define the testing strategy approach and tools including potential options and opportunities for a test automation framework.
tLead discussions with various Client stakeholders to drive agreement and approval of the anticipated QA phase of the project roadmap and schedule, including leadership report outs to technical and non-technical audiences.
tTake on team lead/management and planning tasks per Client?s organizational needs.
tCapable of mentoring and guiding team members to drive towards deliverables related to the solution - spanning test case creation, automation scripting, defect reporting, test data management, status reporting.
tCapable of performing as hands-on automation engineer with DevOps philosophy to drive towards deliverables related to the solution ? again spanning all aspects of testing. Includes development & maintenance utilizing CI/CD practices.
tEnable scrum team for BDD methodology
tDefine and/or contribute to producing QA metrics and KPIs.
tSupport Apex Solution, Engagement, and Account Management teams on proposals to grow Consulting Services Practice.
Experience:
t6+ years of experience in testing methodologies and creation of automated test cases in highly Agile environment
tQuality and testing processes ? Lead level
tManual testing expertise including:
t
ttUnit testing
ttFunctional testing
ttIntegration testing
ttRegression testing
ttUser Acceptance testing
t
t
tTest automation experience ? including:
t
ttETL testing
ttAPI testing
ttFront end/UI validation
ttPerformance testing
ttProcess improvement
t
t
tExperience operating in an enterprise scaled agile environment with daily, weekly, and monthly scrum & work product accountabilities
tConsulting experience
tTeam/resource lead or management experience. Including experience with:

ttTeam motivation
ttConflict management
ttIssue and risk mitigation and resolution

t
tStrong written and verbal communication skills
tBachelor?s Degree with concentration in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Systems
Technical Requirements:
tCore Technical Competencies: Backend Testing (API), ETL Experience, Selenium Webdriver, Automation Framework, BDD Methodology
tPipeline: Azure DevOps (ADO) and AWS (+5 years)
tProgramming Languages: Java, C+, SQL (+5 years), Gerkin, Ruby, Cucumber
tTools: Postman, Git, Jenkins, Selenium, AWS, Swagger, Jmeter, SQL Server, MySQL (+6 years), JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Zephyr
