A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Reimbursement Specialist,

In this role, you will be responsible for requesting relevant medical records from clinician offices, ensuring that all appropriate documentation is received, and conducting follow-ups when necessary. Additionally, you will make outbound calls to patients to discuss patient consent appeal requirements and clearly explain the reimbursement process. The primary focus of this position will be on making outbound calls to patients for appeal consent forms, reaching out to clinicians for medical records, and accurately documenting these interactions within the billing software.

Required Qualifications
? Minimum Requirements
? High School Diploma or equivalent GED, or equivalent work experience.
? Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
? Strong analytics and problem-solving skills
? Excellent customer service skills
? Actively displays behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.
? Preferred Requirements
? Preferred experience collaborating with patients, providers, and insurance plans throughout the billing cycle.
? 2-year degree preferred and/or equivalent job experience.
? Preferred minimum of three years of health insurance billing with experience in identifying and resolving claim issues
? Preferred experience of two years of health insurance billing with experience in identifying and resolving claim issues

Additional Skills
? Typing speed of 30 or more words per minute, with 90% or greater accuracy.

Travel Requirements
? There may be some short-distance travel required for initial training.

SCHEDULE
? Part-time remote: 3 days per week, 8 hours per day, from 8 am to 5 pm.
