About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician Lead Representative at The Cigna Group, you will play a crucial role in the pharmacy operations by utilizing your advanced knowledge to guide and support pharmacy technicians. This position requires you to work under limited supervision, advising your team on taking MD clarifications, processing new verbal prescriptions, and managing related activities. You will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the daily workflow within the pharmacy, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will lead team huddles, providing initial coaching and direction to pharmacy techs, and assist the Technician Supervisor with various quality initiatives such as INCRs and DPMO. Your participation in Continuous Improvement efforts will be essential, as you will support the staffing of pharmacy tech functions as outlined in the Pharmacy Technician job description. Additionally, you will be tasked with training new employees and identifying ongoing training needs for tenured staff who may require retraining. Conducting quality and productivity audits as assigned by the supervisor will also be part of your responsibilities, along with creating and modifying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency. This position may also involve additional duties as assigned, making it a dynamic and engaging role within the pharmacy team.

Responsibilities

Requirements
? High School diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.

? 3 - 5 years relevant pharmacy experience recommended but not required.

? Valid Pharmacy Technician license / certification / registration as required by state laws.

? Computer savvy ability in MS Office with strong Excel skill.
,
? Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.

? Problem solving skills; Ability to handle high stress situations; Flexible and adaptable.
