Part-Time Online Educator - North Carolina

At Hoot Reading, we?re on a mission to change children?s lives through literacy, and we?re growing our Hoot Teacher Network!

Educators at Hoot Reading provide 1:1 lessons for their students using innovative tech and a Science of Reading curriculum to empower teachers to focus on what they do best?teaching! We primarily support students during school hours through school-district partnerships.

Teachers are paid to participate in our robust professional development program before teaching lessons to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students!

Your Availability and Schedule:
? Hours: 8:00 AM ? 6:00 PM CT, Monday to Friday, until May 2025, however, preference will be given to candidates who can support our peak hours between 9:00AM - 2:30PM CT.
? Commitment: Up to 25 hours per week.
? Consistency: Preference will be given to candidates with consistent availability across the week (Monday to Friday) with consistent time slots for easy student/teacher matching.

What are we looking for?
? Bachelor?s degree in education (or equivalent) is required.
? 2+ years of K-6 teaching experience with a strong grasp of phonics, decoding and reading fundamentals.
? Tech-savvy with a reliable laptop, internet, and quiet workspace.
? Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Please note that the starting salary range for this position is $18.00 per hour.
