About the position
The Part Time Distribution Supply Planner is a critical role responsible for ensuring the availability of supplies to distribution centers during the weekend. This position operates remotely on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM to 5 PM, focusing on monitoring inventory levels, tracking inbound shipments, and addressing any supply-related issues that may arise. The planner will be tasked with reviewing emails and taking necessary actions for multiple distribution centers, ensuring that all critical items are managed effectively over the weekend. In addition to monitoring inventory, the planner will track purchase orders from suppliers to their receipt at the distribution centers. They will need to assess critical items to determine if immediate action is required and facilitate transfers between distribution centers when inventory issues are identified. The role also involves resolving product and transportation issues, modifying purchase orders as necessary, and creating new purchase orders on an exception basis. The planner may also be assigned additional projects or duties as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain operations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. The ability to analyze data and reports to make informed decisions is essential, as is a solid understanding of inventory management practices and the impact of supply chain dynamics on business operations.
Responsibilities
? Monitor inventory levels to ensure supply to distribution centers over the weekend.

Requirements
? High school diploma or GED.
,
? Knowledge of the impact of supply chain on business operations, including lead times, purchasing minimums, and safety stock.

? Understanding of inventory management practices and definitions, such as safety stock, days of supply (DOS), and carrying costs.

? Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills through cross-functional alignment.
,
? Ability to analyze and interpret multiple sources of data and reports to determine the best course of action.

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
,
? Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
,
? Excellent task prioritization, follow-up, and customer service skills.
Nice-to-haves
? Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, business, statistics, mathematics, or a related field (rising juniors through seniors will be considered).

? Experience working in a retail or restaurant supply chain.

? Experience with J.D. Edwards, JDA, and PowerBI.

? Supply Chain/Logistics Certification - CSCMP or APICS.
