About the position
The Medical Transcriptionist position at Optum involves providing transcription services directly to healthcare providers, ensuring accurate documentation of medical and clinical information. Responsibilities
? Transcribe dictated information to produce medical and clinical documents.

? Document SOAP notes and enter diagnoses, ICD 10 codes, and other relevant information.

? Pend prescriptions, lab orders, referrals, and imaging studies for provider approval.
,
? Input billing, E&M codes, and CPT codes for various medical conditions.
,
? Assist providers with non-medical inquiries and tasks as needed.
,
? Prompt providers with appropriate questions regarding patient care and orders.
Requirements
? High School Diploma / GED
,
? Must be 18 years or older
,
? Knowledge of medical terminology
,
? 1+ years experience as a medical transcriptionist
,
? Ability to work normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:30pm EST, Monday - Friday.
Nice-to-haves
? Bilingual fluency in English / Spanish
