Medical Biller - Remote

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in executing customer-specific revenue cycle workflows, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including handling charges and transactions, managing accounts... receivable, engaging in patient and payer interactions, coding, and reconciling Electronic Remittance.
Key Responsibilities
Execute customer-specific revenue cycle workflows to meet federal, state, and payer requirements.
Access and navigate federal, state, and payer websites for revenue cycle tasks.
Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Research and analyze federal, state, and payer coding and billing requirements.
Strive to meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly goals.
Collaborate with various departments to meet the needs of our members/customers, aligning with our mission and goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with members/customers and internal stakeholders.
Actively participate in committees and workgroups.
Analyze workflows, establish best practices, and stay updated on government regulatory updates impacting healthcare.
Serve as a mentor/resource for team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2 years of billing experience.
Experience with clearinghouses and healthcare portals.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Excel.
Experience with FQHC billing, dental billing, and behavioral health billing.
Experience with NextGen EPM, EDR, and Optical.
Work Environment
This role operates in a clerical office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, copy machines, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
This is primarily a sedentary role, with no standing or lifting involved in the normal course of duties.
Working Hours
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on job duties.
Travel
Limited travel may be required (5-10 days per year), with exceptions possible.

This position is considered a remote role with full telecommuting privileges.
