Speak with your Recruiter and the Hiring Manager to learn more about our hybrid work program. What you?ll be doing Lead hiring and establishing the manufacturing team. This includes recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding. The Manufacturing Supervisor will train in Japan for 2-3 months and will collect first-hand knowledge, technical know-how, and manufacturing best practice resources to successfully implement battery manufacturing plans. The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible to ensure the manufacturing team experiences, learns, and deploys this same knowledge, and technical know-how, and has access to these best practice resources. The Manufacturing Supervisor will spend considerable time on the production floor overseeing the process and developing each team member?s manufacturing capability, and problem-solving methodology. The Manufacturing Supervisor is expected to be knowledgeable in manufacturing and have a strong focus on people development - providing leadership coaching and mentorship to all team members. Establishing and managing a visual floor management system is a key responsibility for this person. After starting production, the Manufacturing Supervisor will meet production KPIs, visualize production status, and provide measurable & continual improvement. There is a strong expectation to promote and exemplify a safety-first work culture. What you bring Experience in manufacturing or process industries. Manufacturing technical expertise: degree or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of manufacturing technical fundamentals. Experience leading teams including experience coaching a team to solve problems and continuously improve. Experience with shop floor operational comfort with the ability to assess the current situation, act, and deploy resources to solve problems and abnormalities. What you may bring Experience with equipment reliability and new equipment technology related to a start-up, major or new model change, or product launch. Knowledge of battery; cell/module; or similar experience in a highly automated production environment. Experience with production manpower planning aligned for running production processes (for example: attendance, call ins, absenteeism, vacation, holiday, overtime, etc.).
