Infrastructure Engineer - Evening Shift

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and integrity of the infrastructure, network, and managed facilities. You will operate the infrastructure; and contribute to: strategy, architecture, standards, processes, and procedures. Further you will manage and maintain all elements associated with these systems, in a transparent, open, and collaborative manner. Together with peers and third-party service providers you will provide a secure, reliable and highly available server and network infrastructure service to the company and its clients.

This role specifically works on the company's night shift.

This is a 100% Remote Opportunity.

Range: $75,000 - $95,000 Depending on education and experience

Responsibilities
? Maintains the security and integrity of the infrastructure, network and managed facilities.
? Ensures the infrastructure systems and facilities are available in line with the company?s 99.999% SLA.
? Where appropriate, required and/or contractually agreed, update and participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity design, planning and execution.
? Maintain all systems related to the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity services.
? Maintains documentation of systems, maps, processes and procedures, user and technical information related to infrastructure, network and managed facilities.
? Performs daily ticket reviews and ensures these are actioned, delivered and completed according to the company?s agreed SLA?s for priority levels.
? Reviews and responds to out of hours critical alerts and escalations as required.
? Manages network equipment and services, servers (physical and virtual), network storage devices, network communications equipment, security.
? Manages Internet & VPN connectivity, services and security.
? Manages Telecoms equipment and services for the managed facilities.
? Manages the provision, configuration and deployment of hardware resources.
? Ensures all changes are planned, communicated and executed following the company?s Change process, and Client Change process where required and/or appropriate.
? Effectively build a high-quality working relationship with management and peers.
? Ensures effective communication within the team and management structure by providing clear and consistent feedback upwards and downwards.
? Effectively manages project and/or business performance by planning, coordinating, delivering, evaluating and communicating as appropriate.
? Actively learns and develops to stay up to date with developments in area of expertise and to meet the changing needs of the job, team and organization by participating in appraisal and appropriate learning activities.

Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
? Experience (5+ years) working with VMWare Horizon, including hands-on experience with installation, configuration, and administration of VDI environments.
? Hands-on experience of virtualization technologies, particularly VMWare vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server, along with Veeam B&R
? Proficiency in designing and implementing complex VDI architectures, including knowledge of network requirements, storage considerations, and performance optimization.
? Solid understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and group policies, with the ability to integrate these components into VDI environments.
? Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell or other relevant scripting languages.
? Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to VDI deployments.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
? Industry certifications such as VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), VMWare Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), or VMWare Certified Design Expert (VCDX) are highly desirable.
? Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
