Line of Business: Financial Crimes & Fraud Mgmt Job Description: The Head of Business Assurance for Financial Crimes Management is responsible for leading the development... and implementation of the assurance framework that oversees and strengthens controls related to financial crimes. This role provides strategic leadership in ensuring that the organization's policies, processes and systems comply with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and risk mitigation practices. This role collaborates closely with different areas of the bank including Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit and Senior Leadership. Depth & Scope: Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required Leads 1LOD Financial Crimes Management's (FCM) efforts to resolve Regulatory findings or new rules/directives, including leading our efforts to resolve any AML related MRAs Financial Crimes Management lead for Road To Strong (RTS)/Eagle activities ensuring alignment with new risk and control programs identified Develops and maintains standards and procedures in alignment with legal, regulatory and compliance requirements Implements and executes controls to mitigate risk generated in Financial Crimes Management processes Coaches and leads team of operational control & process design experts Partners with 1B, 2LOD and Audit teams to ensure that Remediation-related change activities and delivered and executed within required timelines Works across AMCB to share insights on regulatory remediation solutions while also seeking out perspective from other LOBs (e.g. Commercial and Shared Services) Confirms first line of defense testing is performed to demonstrate enhancements are working Proactively ensures exam and other testing readiness by FCM to improve self-ID rate and successful audits and exams Develops and maintains FCM materials for quarterly updates to regulators Develops action plans in coordination with 1B Coordinates FCM actions in response to partner findings related to 1LOD Financial Crimes Management Education & Experience: Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD) is preferred 10+ years of experience in financial crimes management, risk management, or compliance within the financial services industry Proven experience in managing and leading teams in a regulatory and risk-focused environment In-depth knowledge of AML regulations, fraud detection, and prevention frameworks Strong analytical skills and experience working with data and technology-driven solutions for risk management Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills Certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) are a plus Who We Are: TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
