The category marketing team manages demand generation, starting from driving traffic for the category through various on and off platform touchpoints, to taking actions to drive conversions. The role also involves enabling data-backed decision-making on growth hacks and building on strategic bets from a medium to long-term perspective for categories by working with stakeholders across product, category, and brand marketing for respective businesses. This role involves working with the leadership team to define the future strategy for the categories.
Roles and Responsibilities
Role:
Define and achieve the growth strategy for the fwd vertical - by considering the selection available, pricing and discount targets. This role involves managing the demand generation starting from driving the traffic for the category to taking action for driving conversion. The role also involves working on growth hacks and building on strategic bets of respective categories by working with stakeholders across product, category & brand marketing for respective BUs. This role involves working with the leadership team to define the future strategy for the categories.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving the revenue and growth for the categories - by enabling data backed decision making for growing various verticals within fwd on the platform
- Responsible for closing & aligning traffic targets for the month across various touchpoints and driving these targets with respective stakeholders.
- Develop a sharp understanding of the categories, its customer cohorts, their drivers and barriers to purchase online. Use consumer insights to initiate and drive new projects to scale the business.
- Generate and analyze consumer, shopper, retailer and competition insights related to category/brand with actionable recommendations. Own the complete customer funnel for the business and drive acquisition, retention and engagement.
- Set up various experiments on and off platform to drive growth for the business and widen the top of the funnel.
- Work closely with product & tech teams to optimize the sales funnel. Create new experiences and capabilities to enhance the user journey on Myntra App.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2-4 years of total; 1+ years' experience in e-commerce/high growth startup/ analytics fields will be an added advantage
- Must manage multiple senior stakeholders independently
- High competency in written and verbal communication skills (preparation of business documentation, presenting to senior stakeholders a must)
- Able to innovate on demand and growth initiatives with category & industry first initiatives.
- Able to work with others in a fast-paced, team environment and to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Results oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, can work individually with minimal or no supervision
