This Role

As a Full Stack Engineer at Norm AI, you will be integral to the development of our AI-driven compliance solutions. You will work directly with all aspects of our code stack. You will be expected to:

? Improve the product?both our client facing enterprise product and in support of our internal legal engineering tools team.
? Work on scaling problems?ensure our customers get top-notch availability and reliability on a particularly bursty system.
? Remain on pace with emerging AI use cases?stay-up-to date on the rapidly developing AI landscape.
? Bring product intuition?iterate and obsess over the customer's experience.

Skills & Experience - Core

? Bachelors or Masters in computer science or an equivalent field, or equivalent practical experience.
? 2+ years experience writing Python or similar for production use
? Experience working with a Postgres database or similar
? Interest or experience in working with a complex AI-driven product, (i.e. streamed outputs, dynamic agentic site navigation, etc)
? Interest or experience in working with PDFs, excel, or file-driven products

Skills & Experience - Pluses

? Experience writing APIs, including working with libraries such as FastAPI
? Experience dealing with database scaling problems
? Experience working with AWS infrastructure or similar
? Experience working at an early-stage startup
? Excited to work on product and work/iterate with customers

What Success Looks Like

30 days

? Rapid Acclimation: Quickly adapt to Norm Ai's technology stack and the regulatory landscape it operates within.
? Collaborative Integration: Establish strong collaborative relationships with the team to understand the intricate balance of innovation and regulation.
? Initial Contributions: Make meaningful contributions to our existing system, demonstrating an understanding of Norm Ai's unique approach to software development.

60 days

? Innovative Design Implementation: Successfully implement and deploy significant features that enhances the AI-forward experience for Norm Ai?s clients.
? User-Centric Development: Show a deep understanding of customer needs and feedback, translating these insights into tangible improvements in the product.
? High Agency Ownership: Begin to own initiatives internally as we drive our product forward.
? $150,000 - $225,000 a year

The range displayed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills (as uncovered during the interview process), experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed here reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity or benefits.
Location:

Culturally we?re somewhere between in-person and hybrid, but for this critical role that sits in between our AI backend and touches our clients (most of whom are in NYC currently) we are focused on NYC.
