Job Title: Provider Data Entry Specialist

Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote) - West Coast candidates only

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM PST

Job Type: Direct hire with benefits

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Provider Coordinator. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of provider demographic and contract affiliation information within our health plan system. This is a key position, as it plays a critical role in maintaining accurate provider records, which is essential for our operations.

Essential Functions:

In this role, you will receive and validate provider information from external sources to update our system. Accurate data entry and maintenance of provider records are vital responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on timeliness and attention to detail. Regular audits of provider records will be conducted... to ensure quality and financial accuracy, with feedback documented as needed.

You will also actively participate in supporting system and health plan integration efforts, training current staff and new hires, and assisting with system-related testing activities.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical office setting, specifically in provider credentialing or a related position. Experience in claims, coding, or credentialing is required, and candidates must have this experience to be considered.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and strict adherence to Managed Care Organization policies and confidentiality requirements are essential. Reliable attendance by the agreed-upon schedule is mandatory. A thorough understanding of and compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations is also critical. Establishing and maintaining positive and effective relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers is vital.

Required Education and Experience:
? High School Diploma or equivalent GED
? 1+ years of managed care experience and medical office experience with coding or credentialing
? At least one year of medical office experience is required
