Field Engineer - Entry Level

Compensation: $38-$42/hr. Anticipated ~$92,000-$110,000 annually with some overtime.

Job Description

In this position, you will get the opportunity to perform customer-facing field calibrations on a variety of test equipment across disciplines including but not limited to dimensional, electrical, mechanical, and force. You will travel to many customer factories and laboratories and engage with customers and equipment across industries such as aerospace, automotive, biotech, commercial electrical, medical device, pharmaceutical, and more.

You will take the lead in the full calibration process, which includes job planning, job opening, job execution, job situations, and job closing, and coordinate with customer contacts to calibrate their equipment without disturbing their production operations. You will be responsible for creating detailed reports on all services performed and documenting results thoroughly and accurately using internally developed software systems. Additionally, you will learn how to quickly adapt to changes to assure optimal outcomes while adhering to company policies and procedures and providing exceptional customer service.

As you mature in your role, you may be asked to collaborate with our Metrology department to support calibration efforts, enhance your technical knowledge, and contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of systems and processes used by our technicians.

Requirements/Qualifications

Education
? Bachelor?s Degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, or a related field.
? 3.0 GPA or higher (indicate on resume).

Work Experience
? Prior internship or work experience, especially related to data entry, calibration, machining, QC, engineering, and/or science strongly valued.
? Experience working with customers is preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements
? Ability to pass a drug test, background check, skills test, and eye exam including the ability to differentiate colors effectively.
? Available to work varied daytime hours Monday-Friday, some weekends, and infrequent but occasional overnight travel.
? Legally eligible to work in the United States.
? Ability to lift 70 lbs.
? Valid Driver?s License
? Reliable and suitable vehicle for traveling to onsite jobs with equipment. Mileage reimbursement provided.
? Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
? Creative problem-solving skills. Always searching for a better way to do things and propose meaningful improvements to help others.
? Natural appreciation for a well-engineered solution and driven to learn the best practices of process and systems engineering.
? Flexible and able to adapt, sometimes at the last minute, to changes in schedules, customer requirements, equipment lists, etc.
