Job Summary:

Description:

As an Event Coordinator at Marriott International, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating events from conception through completion. You will work closely with clients to identify their needs, and ensure their satisfaction through timely communication and service delivery. We are looking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and creating unforgettable experiences.

Responsibilities:

– Meeting with clients to work out event details, plan with the client and their team, scout and book locations, food, entertainment, staff and cleanup.

– Coordinating event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers. Staying under budget while planning event specifications.

– Issuing invoices and collecting payments in a timely manner, and creating comprehensive and readable financial reports.

– Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors.

Requirements:

– Strong communication skills, and the ability to present event ideas and plans to the client and vendors.

– Being able to manage time effectively, and to multi-task.

– Experience working as an event planner or coordinator.

– Excellent vendor management skills.

– Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

– Proficient in MS Office applications.

Educational Qualification:

– Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Public Relations or relevant field is preferred.

Experience:

– Proven experience as an event coordinator.

– A proven track record of organizing successful events.

– Proficient in MS Office.

– Excellent vendor management skills.

– Excellent problem-solving abilities.
