Day to Day
As the Product Director for the Generative AI (LLM) Product Experimentation team within the AI Platform organization, you will play a key role in establishing Indeed as the leader in HR Tech AI. You will be responsible for identifying and incubating innovative product experiments that leverage the latest Generative AI capabilities.
You will be leading a group of teams, each focused on 0-to-1 experiments that are redefining the experience of job seekers and employers on Indeed?s marketplace with AI. You will manage these teams as a portfolio to place short, medium, and long-term investments that are aligned with Indeed AI strategy.
Over time, your team will augment existing Indeed products with GenAI capabilities, develop new job seeker or employer experiences, and rethink what hiring could be when leveraging the latest AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
? Define and drive the vision for Generative AI (LLM) Product Experimentation at Indeed.
? Understand the competitive landscape in HR Tech (in partnership with CorpDev and other internal strategy teams) and apply the learnings to the bets we place.
? Be a dynamic member of the leadership team defining and driving Indeed?s AI strategy.
? Manage and grow a team of product managers. Hire exceptional talent into Indeed, especially APMs and PMs who are great at operating in a fast-paced early innovation cycle.
? Build a roadmap and define execution strategies with the team by utilizing data, user research, and business priorities. Work with stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team.
? Build relationships and partnerships with people and teams across the company, and align on strategy, vision, and execution.
? Define metrics to measure the success of the features your team builds. Possess a drive for velocity, be adaptable, and demonstrate an ability to take a big idea and distill it into a clear and consistent plan that?s backed by data.
Skills/Competencies
? Product management or equivalent experience in maintaining portfolios of teams working on 0-to-1 product experiments. Ideally, you?ve run a product incubator, or you have had leadership roles in startups.
? 5+ years managing product managers, with a deep commitment to coaching, mentoring, and growing future leaders. You?re not afraid to be hands-on and act as a player-coach when needed.
? Knowledge of machine learning platforms (especially LLMs), familiarity with data infrastructure, and knowledge of cloud-based platforms, preferably AWS (Amazon Web Services).
? Setting and articulating clear visions, making informed choices, and identifying the bigger picture in terms of product direction and business goals are essential.
? Proven relationship-building experience to engage with and influence various stakeholders, from developers to business directors. Effective collaboration with remote and global teams, and excellent written and oral communication in English.

Austin Metro Area - $178,000 - 258,000 USD
New York City Metro Area - $208,000 - 302,000 USD
Seattle Metro Area - $222,000 - 322,000 USD
San Francisco Metro Area - $242,000 - 350,000 USD
Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), a Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
