Exemption Status: United States of America (Exempt) Job Description: Works in tandem with the Senior Director of Annual Giving Programs in... cultivating and securing leadership annual gifts ($1,000-$25,000). Responsible for revitalizing and expanding Trinity?s long-standing and successful leadership annual fund program Trinity University Associates.. As a good listener and keen to explore donor interests, you will enjoy the strategy and collaborative nature of working with major and planned giving professionals to realize the best philanthropic opportunities for alumni and friends of the University. This position also manages the Class Partners Program, a pivotal giving program that supports Pell-Grant students at Trinity through scholarships. Occasional overnight travel and extensive local travel will be required. Creates customized written material and proposals. Manages and oversees the TU Associates and Class Partners Program. Responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of leadership annual gifts from alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. Builds and maintains a portfolio of meaningful relationships. Identifies and qualifies possible major gift prospects. Creates goals to increase, retain and upgrade participation from leadership annual giving donors. Confirms and follows up with other giving officers or volunteers on renewals of leadership donors. Assists in the creation of the content for leadership annual giving portions of the University website. Serves on university committees, as needed. Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies. Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines. Performs other duties as required. EDUCATION Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Preferred: Master's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution. EXPERIENCE Required: Three to five years fundraising experience, preferably in a higher education or with major nonprofits. Direct solicitation experience at the annual fund level. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Required: Extensive knowledge of best practices in donor cultivation, leadership solicitation, volunteer management and ongoing stewardship skills. Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desire and ability to generate philanthropic support and partnership engagement across University academic and programmatic units and in assigned geographic areas. Ability to cooperatively interact with professionals in major and planned giving, alumni relations, special events, prospect and stewardship functions. Energy and enthusiastic commitment to building relationships for the University. Ability to plan, organize and effectively present ideas and concepts, enjoys public speaking and making a difference. Unquestioned personal integrity, credibility and work ethic. Excellent conversational skills. Strong organizational propensity, customer service oriented. Self-motivated, creative and exuding enthusiasm for the University. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS None OTHER REQUIREMENTS All jobs require a current Criminal Background Check (CBC). Ability to work on non-traditional business hours and weekends. May work under pressure to meet office deadlines. Willingness to travel extensively on behalf of Trinity University.
