Compliance and Communication Specialist (Administrative Specialist 1) We are seeking a... dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join the Oregon Board of Accountancy. Under the direction of the Board's investigator, you will assist with administering the compliance program, including supporting the Complaints Committee, maintaining records, summarizing meetings, drafting and managing documents, and providing compliance statistics. You will also track deadlines and civil penalty payments, staff the Board's Laws and Rules Committee, and act as a backup to the Rules Coordinator. Additionally, as the Communication Consultant, you will provide regulatory communications to international and domestic individuals, firms, and constituents, informing them about the statutes, rules, and policies of the Board of Accountancy. This role involves developing, editing, and distributing communications that align with the agency's values and mission, ensuring all public information is clear, accurate, and accessible. Please Note: This position will require on-site attendance for approximately 3 months, and upon completion, you will have the opportunity to operate on a hybrid work schedule. What We Are Looking For Minimum Qualifications: Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR, An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR, An equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference Statement: Preference may be given to candidates with professional experience working for the State of Oregon as a temporary, seasonal, regular status, or limited duration employee. Desired Attributes: Writing Skills & Attention to Detail - Strong writing skills for clear and effective communication; Experience producing and distributing communications on behalf of an organization or member of leadership. Ability to communicate effectively with various partners and customers, both over the phone, in person, and via email. Systems & Reporting - Proficiency in working with databases and generating reports; Experience with Licensing Systems and Procedures, Microsoft Office products, Outlook. Customer service skills, including the ability to handle and resolve conflicts. Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret ORSs and OARs.
