The Collections Specialist will work remotely from a home office with a secure network. Only candidates residing in the states below at the time of employment will be able to be considered. Travel with Vivo equipment is not permitted.

Required qualifications for this position:
? 3 Years of healthcare professional billing experience.
? 2 years of accounts receivable and customer service experience.

Compensation:
? Pay Range: $18.00 - $26.00/hr

Reports To: Manager, Revenue Cycle Management

Employment & FLSA Status:
? Full-Time
? Non-Exempt
? Monday-Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Remote

Primary Job Duties:
? Initiate collection follow-up of all unpaid or denied claims with the appropriate payors.
? Research, appeal, and resolve claim rejections/denials.
? Review payments to ensure the accuracy of insurance payments and patient balances.
? Facilitate drug manufacturer co-pay assistance program for patient financial assistance.
? Respond to written Payor communications as indicated with appropriate action in a timely manner.
? Communicate payment trends or insurance denials that impact revenue.
? Thorough documentation of all patient account communication using the provided practice management system.
? Correspond with patients regarding their insurance and payment responsibilities.
? Adhere to HIPPA; Maintain patient records and confidentiality via the Electronic Medical Record System.

Qualifications: ? High school diploma or equivalent, required. ? 2 year of healthcare professional billing and accounts receivable experience, required. ? 2 year Infusion billing experience, preferred. ? Experience with R2 and WeInfuse programs a plus. ? Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel proficiency, required. ? Additional knowledge of insurance, accounting, medical billing, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, medical abbreviations, and terminology, preferred. ? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, required. ? Excellent attention to detail, required. ? Experience working in a remote capacity preferred. The person in this position will work from a remote home office utilizing Vivo equipment from a secure network.
