The Claims Clerk is responsible for providing support to the Claims Investigation team in reviewing, researching, following up and processing claims

This position is full time. Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities: ? Conduct data entry and follow up on necessary to assist Claims Investigators ? Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards ? Identify more complicated claims and refer them to Claims investigator or Supervisor ? Work claims files to ensure the appropriate eligibility and provider records are matched to the claim ? Updates and maintains claims Workbench database ? Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: ? High school diploma / GED or equivalent years of experience ? 1 years of experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties ? Experience with computers and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications ? Experience with Microsoft Office Teams ? Microsoft Outlook ? Microsoft Excel ? Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product ? Must be 18 years of age OR older ? Preferred Qualifications: ? 2 years data entry experience ? 1 years' experience working with medical claims ? Basic understanding of healthcare claims including ICD-10 and CPT codes ? Ability to type 60 words per minute ? Experience communicating with customers on the phone/Telephone skills

Telecommuting Requirements: ? Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) ? Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. ? Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
