This is a remote position requiring candidate based in San Diego or Los Angeles area.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Target accounts in Southern California and Arizona representing biotechnology, biopharma, pharmaceutical and diagnostic oncology research and development companies, in the Territory, in particular, to sell Indivumed?s products and services
  • Maintain customer relationships of current Indivumed customers and grow the revenue generated by these customers
  • Learn, understand, apply and continue to develop expertise related to Indivumed?s GCLP laboratory services offerings, e.g., fluorescent multiplex immunohistochemistry services and clinical biomarker services
  • Prospect into growing biotechnology companies with oncology drugs in the pipeline who outsource immunohistochemistry and phosphoprotein analyses of targets relevant to their pipeline
  • Discuss technical aspects of customer projects and articulate customers? technical needs to allow Project Management to create statements of work (SOWs) and/or quotations
  • Continually grow the customer base of Indivumed products and services within the Target list through lead generating activities and follow up on leads generated by the compan

  • Maintain the company CRM database and update daily; provide reports of sales activities within the CRM (Salesforce)
  • Support Company exhibition and conference obligations throughout North America when needed
  • Coordinate with marketing and customer service support resources to grow the Indivumed market in the Territory
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly and yearly sales forecasting and manage expenses for the Territory
  • Territory: Target Accounts representing pharma, biopharma and diagnostic accounts in Southern California and Arizona
  • Additional territorial and/or business development responsibilities as agreed upon with the VP Business Development and Sales US.
  • The Sales Director, using automation within Salesforce, will keep Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) up to date for management purposes. The KPI?s are:

o New Accounts contacted (phone/email)

o Existing customers visited

o New customers visited

o Number of requests

o Number of quotes created

o Volume of quotes created

o Number of orders received

o Sales Cycle ? time from request to order (days) ? Services

o Weekly sales call with manager

o Bi-weekly sales calls (team)

o Quarterly strategy review meetings (HH included)

Domestic and International travel is expected for this position. Travel requirement 50+%.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS Degree in the areas of biology, human genetics, medicine, pharmacology, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, pathology or equivalent.
  • Sales experience of at least 3 years plus at a life science company.
  • Candidates must be located in the Greater San Diego or the Greater Los Angeles areas.

Preferred Requirements

  • Science degree (M.S. preferred) in the areas of biology, human genetics, medicine, pharmacology, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, pathology or equivalent
  • Knowledge about oncology, the cancer drug and diagnostic development processes, preclinical testing procedures and/or biobanking a plus
  • Preferably knowledge in selling GCLP relevant services, including clinical biomarker studies

Salary of this position is approximately between $95,000 to $120,000. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant?s location, market data/ranges, an applicant?s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
