GENERAL Articulation OF Obligations:

uses evidence-based practice to provide patients with occupational therapy services, such as determining their requirements through the use of appropriate screening and evaluation methods; evaluating the findings of evaluations, creating treatment plans, and carrying out the appropriate treatment procedures for occupational therapy; documents each evaluation in the appropriate format and language; oversees and maintains the recording of treatment plans, progress reports, and other necessary documentation for patients. Through structured intervention, the occupational therapist is in charge of coordinating both cognitive and physical skill training for activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, as well as facilitating and scheduling interventions in the home and community. The Word related Advisor works cooperatively with other colleagues to create, carry out, and assess the treatment program. At patient and family meetings and other meetings as requested, the OTR will act as a spokesperson for the Occupational Therapy Department and its services. Assisting therapy staff with modules, assisting with staff training as needed, maintaining various checklists and daily log sheets, ensuring patient safety, reinforcing treatment plans and Moody Neuro policies, participating in OT student labs, and acting as a clinical instructor for OT students on clinical rotation at Moody Neuro are additional responsibilities. The Program Director will decide which research projects the OTR will participate in. The OTR will maintain the mission, vision, reasoning, and objectives of the association while keeping up with severe secrecy of faculty and patient information and data in the presentation of doled out obligations.

In a timely manner, assign appropriate patient care tasks performed by unlicensed, supportive staff.

Assist in the planning of occupational therapy goals-related client volunteer programs, vocational programs, and community outings. Supervise patient care tasks for unlicensed and supportive staff.

Participate in self-evaluation, chart review, and peer review as part of departmental CQI activities.

Instructional Program:

Attend all in-services sponsored by the facility and the department.

Following completion of continuing education courses, prepare and present departmental in-services.

Student Education Program: Provide a learning environment for pre-intern students by acting as a Clinical Instructor (CI).

as required by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, determine your own requirements for consultation and continuing education.

Experience:
