What we are looking for: As the Direct Bill Coordinator, you will assist in the coordination of statewide Protection budgeting processes and incident finance business functions for the agency including, but not limited to: Evaluating financial systems. Interpreting procedures and policies for effectiveness. Providing improvement plans and recommendations to management. Manage the agency's Protection Direct Bill system. Assist with statewide incident finance activities. Perform various other administrative duties within the Protection Finance Unit. Assist in the tracking of fiscal budget expenses and revenue. Research financial discrepancies in reports. Assist with incident billings in coordination with other Protection Finance Unit staff. Assist with incident and FEMA claim audits. Backup to the Incident Billings Coordinator and Severity Finance Coordinator within the Protection Finance Unit. Minimum Qualifications Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis OR An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Note: Driver?s License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business. If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout. If you have an Oregon driver?s license, a record check will be conducted on the top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record. Desired Skills: High level of effective communication skills including the ability to follow verbal/written instructions. Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Skills in planning, monitoring, analysis, leadership and coordination of people. Possess administrative procedures skills such as record keeping and managing filing systems. Ability to work well with others. Teamwork is essential to the position.
