Monterra Franchise Services is a full-service CPA firm exclusively serving franchisees nationwide. We are currently seeking a full-time staff accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with at least 7+ years of general ledger experience, and experience working on the accounting for multiple entities at once. Responsibilities: ? Accurately reconcile bank statements ? Perform account reconciliations on assigned balance sheet accounts, inter-company and subsidiary accounts ? Prepare, review, reconcile and analyze general ledger balances ? Update and review workpapers such as depreciation and loan schedules ? Prepare recurring, reversing, and adjusting journal entries ? Prepare and file sales tax and personal property tax returns ? Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines at the fiscal period close (month/period) ? Ability to multi-task and set priorities ? Ability to field phone calls from clients and educate in business best practices ? Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Payroll and other Staff ? Additional special projects and research driven by business needs ? Desire to continue personal professional development

Knowledge and Skills Required:
? Minimum 7+ years? experience in accounting required
? Minimum 7+ years of accrual accounting and journal entries required
? Experience working on the accounting for multiple entities at the same time as a bookkeeper or accountant is required
? Positive attitude, attention to detail, problem solver, strong work ethic, and high integrity are all qualities needed for this job
? Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other Office products is required
? Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills required
? Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work along with internal and external partners
? Strong written and oral communication skills required
? Experience with accounting write up packages; Thomson Reuters is a plus
? Accounting for Restaurants or Retail is preferred
? Experience working for a CPA firm is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
