Typical Responsibilities: ? Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. ? Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in both individual and group settings. ? Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students receive appropriate services and supports. ? Utilize various teaching strategies and technologies to enhance student engagement and learning. ? Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adapting instructional plans as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements: ? Must hold a valid state-issued Special Education Teaching License. ? Michigan Standard OR Professional Certificate with ANY endorsement: ? Cognitive Impairment ? Speech & Language Impairment ? Physical or Other Heath Impairment ? Emotional Impairment ? Learning Disabilities ? Physical Education for Students with Disabilities ? Autism ? Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Special Education or related field required. ? Experience with special education students, including developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), is highly preferred.
