Key Responsibilities
? Act as the outsourced Controller/CFO for a diverse range of nonprofit clients, driving transformative financial operations to support their missions.
? Generate comprehensive financial reports to facilitate informed decision-making for management and Boards.
? Propose and execute enhancements to accounting practices, internal controls, and compliance measures, aligning with best industry standards.
? Oversee vital transactional functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
? Provide assistance with budgeting, forecasting, and detailed data analysis to enable sound financial strategies.
? Manage grant oversight, fund distribution, and reporting to various funders.
? Prepare for and lead annual audit processes.
? Educate clients and internal staff on accounting best practices and financial procedures.

Required Skills
? Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting nonprofit organizations.
? Exhibit strong communication and organizational abilities, with adeptness in managing multiple priorities.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is essential; familiarity with additional GL software and electronic payment systems is advantageous.
? Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are a valuable asset.

Qualifications
? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
? Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, showcasing a successful history of managing multiple clients or projects.
? CPA certification is preferred, though not mandatory.
? Experience in a remote or hybrid work setting is advantageous.
