Sr. Mainframe Developer (Hybrid / Remote)

The Cards and ARP Support team provides development and support of mainframe applications across the UMB footprint. The team is also responsible for supporting cards affiliated distributed applications. As a Sr. Mainframe Developer, you will be providing development support and enhancements for mainframe applications. You will work closely with the development and support teams to help design and build enterprise-level solutions. You will look for ways to assist in improving development efficiency and implementing those best practices. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which involves other multiple initiatives as assigned by IT leadership. This role is hybrid (Tue & Wed on-site) for candidates in the Kansas City metropolitan area and open to qualified remote candidates outside of the Kansas City area but only within the US. How you?ll spend your time: Work closely with application and infrastructure teams, vendors, and various business units to identify solutions to enhance Cards application, remediate issues and fix production defects. Provide production support of highly complex applications in production by troubleshooting issues, proposing solutions, developing, testing fixes, and implementing solutions. Provide on-call support to the application on a rotational basis. We?re excited to talk with you if: You have at least 7 years of relevant work experience developing and supporting mainframe applications. You have knowledge of TSYS TS2 Cards platform. You have in-depth experience in COBOL and a technical background that includes CICS, VSAM, JCL, TSO, RDS, ChangeMan, Zeke, and related utilities. You have intermediate knowledge of SQL. You have basic understanding of Cloud computing architecture. Bonus Points If: You have understanding of API architecture. You are familiar with AWS, Kafka, Splunk etc. Applicants must have legal authority to work in the United States. Work Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
